arc gives you full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using one of the methods below.
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including transactions, budgets, receipts, and synced data, will be permanently removed.
How to Delete Your Account
In-App Deletion
Recommended method. Delete your account instantly from within the arc app.
Email Request
Can't access the app? Request deletion via email within 7 business days.
1.Delete via App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the arc app:
Safety measure: The app uses a two-stage confirmation process to prevent accidental deletion. On iOS, you'll be asked to type "DELETE" to confirm. Your account and all data will be removed immediately upon confirmation.
2.Delete via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

3.What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
4.Data Retention
All user data is deleted immediately upon account deletion. We do not retain any of your personal or financial data after deletion.
Subscription billing records may be retained by our payment processors (RevenueCat, Google Play, Apple) in accordance with their respective privacy policies. arc does not control or have access to these records.

6.Self-Hosted (BYOB) Users
If you use arc in BYOB mode (connected to your own Actual Budget server), your budget file is stored entirely on that server and is not managed by arc. We cannot read it and we cannot delete it; to remove it, manage it directly on your own server. What exists on arc's side depends on whether you hold an arc Premium subscription.
Self-hosted, without Premium
No arc account is created and no data is stored on our infrastructure, so no deletion request to arc is necessary. You retain full control of your data at all times.
Self-hosted, with arc Premium
An arc account does exist, because the Premium services sign in to it. Sections 1 to 5 above apply in full: your account, subscription record, AI credit balance, stored receipts, and push tokens are deleted through the normal process. Your budget file is untouched and stays on your own server.
